Tools For Change Africa is a non-profit organization that develops ways of collecting tools in the United States of America and to ship them to rural villages in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Operating as a 501(c)(3) 4234939 nonprofit, Tools for Change Africa is dedicated to collecting and providing new and used tools for youth and adults in rural villages in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Our goal is to encourage youth and adults to learn occupational skills in order to remain in, and enrich traditional village life.
Our mission is based on sharing the knowledge of the need of tools by the villages to the local community people here in the USA . The tools can help to improve the lives of people in rural areas. Our tools program allows many people to learn occupational skills that help to prevent the massive rural exodus of young people, men and women from their peaceful villages to gold and other mineral mines . Some of them ended up in big cities looking for jobs, only to come back home with unwanted pregnancy and in some case with new sickness unknown by the villages. A lot of them are unfinished school students because of the lack of money from their parents to pay for their high school education after the first five years of free public school. You can learn more about our program on this website.
